New City Fellowship’s 2010 West Africa Missions Update

This is a summary of how the Lord has allowed us to partner in West Africa in the past year, and where we believe He is leading us in the years to come.

The West Africa Bridge Team exists to enable the members of New City Fellowship & God’s people in the St. Louis area to partner with the West African church for the advancement of the Gospel by preaching grace and doing justice in West Africa; and wherever called by God, to participate in starting new churches in the unreached communities of West Africa.

African Cup of Nations: Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire & Nigeria Advance

Yesterday wrapped up the group stage of the African Cup of Nations in Angola. Three West Africa countries advanced to the quarter-finals round, which begins on Sunday.

The Bible for Every Tribe and Every Language

In 1992 in the Bassar region of Togo, locals held a celebration. Villagers came together to rejoice at a momentous event. The cause for the festivities was the release of New Testament in  N’Cam, one of the languages of the Bassar region.

David Nabine, a native of Bassar, smiled as he recently described how he felt when his village received the New Testament in their own language. “It is a rich blessing. It is more than a treasury for me and my people.”
